The scale for the construction of education is the biggest in recent years. Education investment in these four years has surpassed 85 billion NT dollars. The investment to renovate schools has surmounted to 10 billion NT dollars.

 

Children are the future of our nation, and education will lay the foundation for children’s future. Ever since Govenor Eric Chu take charge of Taoyuan County Government; education has been enlisted as the most important target. Every year, over 40% of total budget is reserved for education, and the total amount has surpassed 85 billion NT dollars.

The purpose of allocating huge amount of budget for education is to increase the competitiveness of our next generation. After three years of hard work, Taoyuan Government has fared well to accomplish satisfying outcomes and also grab six championships nationwide. That includes：

1. The rate of increasing classrooms.
2. 72 Special Education Classes were added for junior and elementary schools.
3. The subsidies for pre-school children, the ration of registration for kindergarten has reached 90%.
4. Internet speed has been increased from 1.5MB to 100 MB.
5. Over 100 million NT dollars to purchase books for junior and elementary schools.
6. Establish the first immigrant-learning centers to take care of foreign parents and children.

As the education policies of Taoyuan Government have bloomed, I sincerely thank the corporation of the staff in county government and parents to make things happen. In the future, I shall put education as my first priority to create the best education environment for our next generation.
